Oh hey there!

I'm Rachel (she/her/hers), a dietitian and the owner of RL Nutrition. I’m so glad you’re here.

The world we live in makes it hard to have a good relationship with food and our bodies. With all of the conflicting rules we hear about how to “be healthy,” it makes sense that it feels impossible to listen to your body and honor its needs.

It doesn’t have to feel this way forever. I am excited to help you figure out what health means for you, eat more joyfully, and develop body image resilience in a genuine, non-restrictive, and affirming way.

I offer virtual counseling services for eating disorders, Intuitive Eating, and chronic health conditions.

I am licensed in NY and WA state, however I am able to see certain clients nation-wide!

Client Testimonials

  • "Firstly, I want to say thank you to Rachel for helping me start to heal my disordered eating. She helped me acknowledge that the way I've been living, in judgement and restriction (moving from one diet to another/juice fasts/fasting) wasn't healthy or productive for me. She always listens without judgement, and is VERY empathetic to me breaking down on the phone, over and OVER again. Dealing with my disordered eating habits has not been an easy ride, and I'm still on it, but Rachel has really been there to guide and support me, and share exercises and reading materials on this journey, for me to work on, on my own. I have been having appointments with Rachel for about 3/4 months now, and together we have made lots of advances forward, and I'm starting to have more positive thoughts about my body, and I am slowly learning how to listen to what my body wants, and beginning to eat more intuitively. Don't expect it to be all roses, the work is hard and emotional, but with Rachel by your side, you feel like you can achieve any goal you have set for yourself. I thoroughly recommend her and super grateful of the work we have done together so far, and looking forward to the work we still have to do."

  • "Working with Rachel has proven to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had a tormented relationship with food and my body for my whole life and I eventually developed an eating disorder. Not only have my eating disorder symptoms gone away after a few months working with her, but for the first time in my life I am starting to experience neutrality towards food and my body. Rachel is extremely knowledgeable, insightful, empathetic, and kind. She's very easy to talk to, and anyone who has been subjected to the evils of diet culture could benefit from working with her."

  • "I was transferred to Rachel from another nutritionist [...] and I could have been nervous about the switch but her kindness and expertise more than eased that transition. Her compassion, patience, and deep knowledge about behaviors surrounding foods and truly give me insight into things that I haven’t understood about myself for years. She not only guides discussion in a friendly manner, but she challenges me on the thought processes I have that have in a way that is both delicate and supportive. Our sessions are always a delight and I couldn’t recommend her more highly for anyone struggling with their relationship with food."
